I picked Elisabeth up from preschool today as usual. We went shopping at her favorite store, Sunshine, because they have little carts for her. She loves it. "Mommy you put the bread in my cart." We get done and head home to put everything away. Michael greets her with hugs and kisses because she's been on vacation here for two days. We put everything away and then it's off to Grandma's and Grandpa's with directions to the baby shower in West Chester. We take the jogging stroller. Elisabeth sat in it for a good portion but she gets out and runs/walks with me. We visit and head home where a yummy taco dinner awaits us prepared lovingly by Michael. After dinner is cleaned up they go outside to take Kona and Logan out to do their business. Elisabeth rides her tricycle and then her Jeep (we've recently taken the pin out to make it go faster and you really have to watch she doesn't run you over. it goes fast). We get washed up and it's time for a snack and Charlotte's Web. Then it's time for bed. Where did today go? I am amazed, always, by my child's ability to remember things and figure out things. She will be four at the end of July. She gets excited about going to the playground and playing with our neighbor's kids and getting invited to birthday parties. I do try to do fun things with her. Like going to the playground (we know all of the playgrounds in our town by heart. and surrounding towns also.), the Children's Museum in Bloomsburg, Nay Aug Park and taking walks. Time goes so fast. I try to enjoy her now and watch her discover the world. To see her face when she is seeing something for the first or being able to do a task without my help. It makes me proud and a little scared. For one day she will not ask for help because she will be old enough to do everything herself. I keep a journal and write down milestones and my thoughts on her growing up. I look forward to giving it to her. My notes on her childhood and she can see what kind of baby and child she was and how much job she brought to her parent's lives.
