Ever since I was little I've loved to smell things. Food, perfume, dirt, bugs, water, clothes, linens, cars, dogs, cats, other people, toothpaste. I could go on. Elisabeth smells things like I do. My Nana gets a kick out of it.
I like to be clean. My soap, shampoo and conditioner must smell good. My after shower lotion must smell good as well as my baby powder ( I put it in my skivvies. Try it. You'll be feeling fresh all day. You're welcome.) You can see baby powder on the back of my car seat. And sometimes when I sit down I let out a cloud of powder. I'm funny that way.
I get quite weird about how I smell. I do not like to smell like food, a restaurant or the grill. When I am going out and I've already showered I will make my food choices based on their smell and if it will linger. I believe that Burger King will make you smell like onions, cooking certain foods will bake you smell like B. O. and cooking on your Weber will make you smell like a grill.
I used to like perfumes like Tresor, Demi Jour, Eternity, Liz Claiborne and other super sweet colognes. Now I like Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet, Gap Heaven, Elle by Armani, Jojoba by Crabtree and Evelyn and Il Bacio. More grown up and spicy. I do like some fruity smells like Pink Grapefruit by Bath and Body. I used to like Gap Grass. It smelled just like a freshly mowed lawn. Good times. Then they discontinued it. I really like the smell of the Scottish line of products called Au Lait. They don't make a perfume though. Only bath products. Your nose changes I guess. I know your taste buds change every seven years. Maybe your nose changes too.
My friend John G. smells good. His current cologne is called Terre by Hermes. He has also worn Lime Basil and Mandarin by Jo Malone. I like when I work with him because he's a breath of fresh air instead of alfredo sauce.
My husband wears Lacoste, Old Spice and Tommy Hilfiger. I bought him Fahernheit and he wears it occasionally (on our wedding!) and I think it's a good time. I can smell him all day and all night. ; - )
I wash all my clothes and linens with Snuggle and then reinforce the smell with Snuggle dryer sheets. I do wish I had the time to hang my clothes outside. Line dried clothes is one of the best smells. It's like a little bit of sunshine.
These I really like:
